Sturmey Archer drumbrakes
Sturmey Archer drum brakes have been used in velomobiles and trikes for many years. This is due to their long service life and low maintenance costs. To build high-quality and lightweight wheels with drum brakes, we have the drums drilled with varying numbers of holes.
Many of our drum models are black anodized. This prevents tarnishing and oxidation caused by road salt in winter. Additionally, a black anodized drum dissipates braking heat more effectively.
The spoke holes in the drums are drilled with a 14G pattern. This ensures that a standard 2mm spoke has a much better fit in the spoke hole.
